Hello Sunbeams! I hope you’re all doing well, sending summer love and hugs to you all! xx I know a few of you have been tentatively waiting to book onto this incredible retreat next year … and now we’re officially open for bookings! ‘Wild Roots’ Kenya Yoga Adventure Retreat 10th to 20th September 2027 ![]() Here’s a little taste of the adventure… We gather in Nairobi and begin our journey together with a first-class train ride across the Athi Plains and the Kenyan Rift Valley, travelling through elephant corridors toward Emali. From there we continue by safari vehicles, wildlife spotting along the way as we arrive at our first incredible safari lodge in Amboseli. ![]() In Amboseli we rest and recharge and yoga in the stunning African wilds. Time slows down here. We’ll spend mornings hiking, spotting wildlife, and learning about the local plants and animals while simply watching the rhythm of the savannah unfold around us. ![]() During our stay we’ll have the opportunity to connect with the local Maasai community, learning about their way of life, visiting their homes, and even dancing with them under the African stars. We’ll also visit a local school, where you are welcome to bring small donations if you would like to support the local community. One of our highlights here was our final cacao ceremony where a herd of elephants came so close to the camp. Just magical! After three nights in this beautiful safari camp, we set out for our next adventure into the dramatic landscapes and wildlife of Tsavo East National Park. Here we arrive at our next lodge, Kudu, a lush riverside sanctuary overlooking the Galana River. Mornings begin with the sound of hippos chatting and splashing in the water below. ![]() The infinity pool gazes out across the river, making it one of the most extraordinary places imaginable for a morning coffee as the world wakes up, the hippos run back up the river to sleep for the day… or to enjoy a sunset drink as the sky turns gold over the river. This is also the area where we encountered some incredible wildlife last year, including a pride of very fat lions resting after a meal, so close to us, with tiny cubs tumbling nearby. After these two wild and wonderful landscapes, we travel to the coast for the final five nights in Watamu Bay. ![]() Here the rhythm softens. We’ll enjoy yoga, beach time, pool time, and exploring the beautiful local area. We’ll take a private sunset boat cruise and experience the magic of floating through Mida Creek. We’ve timed the retreat perfectly for this. For a few days following the full moon, the tides allow you to literally float through the mangroves and out toward the ocean, eventually landing on the beach. It was an absolute highlight of our coastal time last year and something we can’t wait to share again. ![]() If something inside you is stirring as you read this… let’s do this together! This retreat is not just a holiday. It’s an immersion into wild landscapes, deep rest, vibrant culture, and the kind of shared adventure that you will never forget! If Kenya is calling, come and join us! Spaces are limited to keep the experience intimate. |
Watamu Bay is a place of quiet wonder, where the ocean glows in shifting shades of turquoise and the beaches stretch wide and soft beneath endless sky. Mangrove forests hum with birds and life, and the tides gently shape the rhythm of each day. Drifting through the channels of Mida Creek or sailing on a traditional dhow at sunset, there’s a feeling here of being completely immersed in the beauty and magic of the natural world that is completely different to our first two destinations. ![]() |
KUDU SAFARI CAMP “The sight of dust-red elephant wallowing, rolling and spraying each other with the midnight blue waters of palm-shaded Galana River is one of the most evocative images in Africa. This, along with the 300 kilomtere long Yatta Plateau, the longest lava flow in the world, makes for an adventure unlike any other in the Tsavo East. The park forms the largest protected area in Kenya and is home to most of the larger mammals, vast herds of dust–red elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion, leopard, pods of hippo, crocodile, waterbucks, lesser Kudu, gerenuk and the prolific bird life features 500 recorded species” ![]() ![]() This place is stunning! |
