I'm trying to figure out the best approach for a new driveway, and I'm stuck between resin bound gravel and traditional paving slabs. Initial quotes suggest resin bound is a fair bit more expensive to install. However, I'm trying to take a longer view regarding maintenance, potential repairs, and the overall lifespan of each option. Factoring everything in, which option provides better long-term value for money? I would value any advice from people who have experience of one or both of these, as my primary concern is that I want to make the right choice.

That's a very common question I think. Talking to neighbours, I think it really depends on what you value most: the initial cost, looks, or long term maintenance. I believe the savings on resin bound come later because it does not require much maintenance, and it will last a long time. You should think about this properly. I knew someone who got the Diy Kits and did it themselves and saved a fortune that way. In the long run, resin bound might win on overall cost, but I'm no expert!
