Let the beauty of what you love be what you do Rumi

Dear Golden Grove Retreaters,

Happy New Year for 2023.

Let the beauty of what you love be what you do.

I love this quote by Rumi and feel that this should guide us this year in every decision, twist and turn we have to navigate.

I hope you are entering the New year with both steadiness (Sthira) and ease (Sukha) so that you can start or continue your self-development journey.

We have had some time to reflect on 2022, whilst getting focussed on what requires attention this year. I thought it would be nice to share some of our 2023 goals.

We have got some amazing retreats in the pipeline so please keep an eye on your inbox as I will be sharing info about all the different retreats and teachers and what they are going to be bringing to the centre.

We are developing two in-house signature retreats for 2023. One thing we have learnt from 2022 is that 2-day retreats are fabulous and convenient, but a little more time makes a massive difference to the transformation that you can achieve in a retreat. With that in mind, we are promoting 3–5 day retreats for 2023. It offers better results as well as better value per day. We are hoping to run these retreats monthly. One of the signature retreats will be called ‘Detox the mind, body and soul’ and the other is going to be called ‘Deepening your practice’. Keep an eye out for these.

Which brings us to our next goal….

To find a teacher who would like to live on site and help us run our signature retreats with a view to taking over in September (when we will be sailing to the Med for a season or two). Please do message us if that might be you. There will much more on this later in a separate letter.

We have also opened our retreat centre to you on a ‘room only’ basis during the week. You can rent a room with your mates (sleeps 3/4) and have a great value DIY retreat. You will have use of all the facilities and there will be yoga classes to join. Contact us if you want to find out more.

We want to build a few small meditation huts and a few more outdoor spaces for fire ceremonies and other rituals. Let us know if you like that idea.

Most importantly we want to keep growing our GGR community supporting teachers and students alike. Not just in yoga but there are many different avenues to healing and transformation and we embrace all of these (dance, art, writing, singing and so much more).

So, with purpose and focus we embrace all that 2023 has in store and look forward to inviting you into our world and sharing all that we and all the different teachers have to offer.

Lets make this year full of love, joy and sharing.

Together we are so much stronger.

Namaste,

Louise & Rob
