Hey there, fellow retreat-lovers!
Well that was different! That's exactly how I felt after attending a recent weekend retreat that seemed to be planned to perfection. From yoga and breathwork to hillwalking, cold-water therapy, and kambo, every aspect of the retreat was aimed at creating a unique and fulfilling experience for everyone involved.
For those of you that have not heard of kambo, it is the dried skin secretions of the kambô, a species of frog, used as a transdermal medicine. Kambo is usually used in a group setting, called a Kambo circle or Kambo ceremony. If you would like to know more about retreats with kambo then contact Dan on 07532636996 or view their website at (https://www.reset-retreats.co.uk/).
Now you might have expected the kambo to be the most outstanding part of the retreat, but for me what made this retreat stand out from the others I have been to was the balance of yin and yang, men and women. It brought to my attention how the majority of retreats are predominantly women-focused and I suddenly felt that men are missing out.
It was so refreshing to see men openly talking about their emotions, feelings, and experiences of life, there was even a tear or two at breakthrough moments. It was a powerful reminder that men have their emotional problems (which they usually keep well hidden) and that a retreat is an intimate space with like-minded people where they can safely share their feelings. It was a grounding and heart-warming experience that left me feeling rejuvenated, thoughtful and very centered.
Retreats are not just for women; they're for everyone who wants to take a break from the daily grind, an opportunity to step away from the stress and chaos of everyday life, focus on their own well-being, and connect with like-minded individuals. It's time to break the stereotypes and for us all to engage in healing and emotional growth.
Attending a retreat is not just a luxury; it's a necessity. It's time to make sure that everyone has access to this life-changing experience. Let's create a space where men feel comfortable opening up, sharing their emotions, and healing alongside us. The world needs more of this, and it all starts with changing the perception of who retreats are for.
Reset-retreats have more retreats booked with us this year so let us know if you are interested in joining one of them. Kambo was certainly an interesting addition and I'm glad I tried it. These are some of the testimonials just in from that retreat.
Wow what an absolutely amazing experience this retreat was. Had a brilliant time with everyone. The smiles and laughter that went round the place was incredible and I can’t thank you all enough. Everyone played a part in making it special and leaving a positive imprint in my heart ❤️ You’re all beautiful people and hopefully meet you all again at some point. Massive thanks to Dan and Joe especially you’ve both played a huge part in saving my life and I couldn’t thank you both enough. Keep doing the unbelievable work you both do 🙏🏽 Looking forward to doing it again in the near future 🐸✨ - Josh Obrien
This was my third retreat with Dan and Joe. I was nervous at the start because I struggle to connect with new people but the support from everyone was amazing. The kambo ceremony was beautiful, we released a lot and we healed together. I have never met such like minded and kind people like I have on these retreats. We form new friendships with people we may not have done in normal life and it’s an incredible experience. These retreats have saved my life and I couldn’t be more grateful thank you! - Scarlett Carr
Just got back from my second reset retreat with joe and Dan. I feel so relaxed and balanced. Another group of great, like minded people who I will stay in contact with. The location was beautiful and the vibe was just easy going and chill. Kambo is always an experience in itself but it always leaves me feeling lighter and at peace. A great few days with no judgements, good vibes and full of laughter 💚 I will be back for a third retreat in the future for sure. Thank you to joe and Dan for the work use are doing and helping people on their healing journey's 💚 - Kirsty Ogrady
